Straining & Pelletizing
Downstream processing flexibility
Downstream flexibility is the key to servicing customers. LMI offers a state-of-the-art in-line gear pump strainer, capable of filtering compounds which require the highest purity, allowing for improved capability of defect-free extruded or molded parts. The gear pump is capable of straining both elastomeric and thermoplastic materials from 20 to 180 mesh, without harming the compound. LMI offers a variety of die designs and cutting options for flexibility in packaging, from wide stock to small strips.
The gear pump can be combined with LMI’s Gala 7 Underwater Pelletizer. This device allows for the creation of small, uniform, pelletized material often specified for hard wire and cable compounds and other thermoplastic or TPE materials.
