About LMI Custom Mixing

LMI Custom Mixing, LLC, is a state-of-the-art custom polymer mixing facility formed in 1997 as part of a joint venture between Lauren International and Meteor Gummiwerke. The competitive advantage begins at LMI, where the mixing of rubber, plastic and TPE compounds is treated as a science, rather than an art.

At LMI, we pride ourselves in producing the highest quality mixed compounds for the most demanding applications. We specialize in the production of materials that require a high degree of dispersion and temperature control, including continuously extruded sponge, wire and cable, automotive sealing systems and architectural compounds.

LMI Custom Mixing is a different type of polymer compounding facility. The consistency we provide is made possible through a variety of systemic controls and manufacturing practices. Our ability to produce materials with excellent conformity means that customers can expect unprecedented uniformity and performance from every batch.

Capacity
LMI Custom Mixing is equipped with two completely integrated intermesh mixing lines inside a 50,000 ft2 climate controlled facility. Plant capacity is 35 million pounds annually, with expansion capabilities of over 50 million pounds.
